About Joanne McAndrew

I am a Dublin-based visual artist specialising in landscape, still life and figurative painting. I regularly paint in and around North County Dublin and the surrounding countryside “en plein air” (painting outdoors). I am a regular participant of the annual Dublin and Wexford plein air painting festivals and to date I have received 3 awards in the Dublin festival.

In 2017 I was the runner up in RTE’s television program “Painting the Nation” in which 7 contestants painted their way around Ireland.

I also took part in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the year 2019 where I was shortlisted in the Newcastle heat for my painting of Tyne Bridge.
